Hurunui College is a Year 1–13 Area School offering a positive work-life balance and a supportive working environment in the rural township of Hawarden, located 50 minutes north of Christchurch in North Canterbury.
We are seeking an experienced, energetic and passionate Mathematics teacher to lead our Mathematics learning area starting at the beginning of the 2027 school year. This position carries 1 Permanent Management Unit.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to rural, small-school secondary education, a proven track record in mathematics delivery and the enthusiasm to inspire our students. An ability or willingness to support broader curriculum teaching is a definite advantage.
Our successful applicant will value establishing and maintaining high trust and positive relationships with our ākonga, whānau, staff, and the wider school community. Hurunui College Cleaners
Hurunui College is looking to appoint one or more cleaners to cover cleaning shifts after school and in times of illness or absence.
Cleaning shifts take place between 3pm- 6pm Monday to Friday, there may be some hours available in holiday periods if wanted.
Relief cleaners need to be reliable and available, often on short notice. Training will be provided.
