Learning Support Coordinator Permanent Full time Position

This role is based across five schools, with Hurunui College (Year 1-13) being the employing school. The other primary schools, Greta Valley, Omihi, Waipara and Waikari are contributing schools to Hurunui College. The schools are all members of Tipu Māia Kāhui Ako. The allocated time in each school is based on need.
In this role you will work closely and collaboratively with the Deputy Principal/SENCO of Hurunui College, and the Principals of the four other primary schools. A budget is available for travel.
As our LSC you will:
coordinate and enhance learning support for students with diverse needs
support teachers to build learning capability to meet the needs of learners
work closely and strengthen connections with parents and whānau to ensure the best outcomes for students
work collaboratively with school leadership, Hurunui College SENCO, other LSC’s, and external agencies to ensure access to appropriate services and resources
transition students who have learning or behavioural needs
work 1:1 with individual students when required

Teacher of Physical Education and Outdoor Ed Full time, Maternity Leave Position.
We are seeking an energetic, passionate and highly motivated teacher of Physical Education (Year 7-13), and Outdoor Ed (Year 11-13) to cover maternity leave from 28 April 2025 - 2 April 2026. Our successful candidate will work closely with the TiC Health & PE & Sports and will teach and learn alongside experienced and supportive teachers and support staff.
The applicant will be committed to working collaboratively, contribute to our positive learning environment and will value establishing and maintaining high trust and positive relationships with our ākonga, whānau and staff, as well as the wider school community. Cleaners Wanted
Hurunui College is looking to appoint one or more relief cleaners to cover cleaning shifts in times of illness or absence.
Cleaning shifts take place between 3pm- 5.30pm Monday to Friday, there may be some hours available in holiday periods if wanted. Permanent hours are 12.5hrs per week during term time. Relief cleaners need to be reliable and available, often on short notice. Training will be provided. A job description is attached below.
